What do you do when your sick 17 month old is running around whiping his runny nose on all the furniture, having coughing fits, whining, probably has a fever and will eventually crash because of these antics?
You are sick too, head pounding, congested, feverish, only able to see through slits in your eye. Confined to the couch.

Spring Wreath for my Rounded Door!
I just love hanging a wreath on my rounded front door. I always choose light colors because the door is a dark brown, the lighter the wreath the more it POPS!
I also fancy texture, the more the better. I like how the ribbon which is smooth and soft contrasts with the rough, crunchy streamer. It's more visually appealing. Want to know how I did it?
These are the supplies you will need:

Only Those that Attempt the Absurd will Acheive the Impossible
I am a VISIONARY.
And I dragged my poor family along for the ride. Some people might not think this is a big deal, nor risky but I felt that it was risky.

Spring Wreath
I am gatheing ideas for my Spring Door Wreath. I think I am going to make a wreath with rosettes. I went to Michael's and bought my Styrofoam wreath and my streamers. Now all I have to do is get my butt into gear this weekend and make it! Stay Tuned...

It's That Time Again...
To start thinking about what I should plant in my garden because this year I will have a garden...maybe. I have been growing plants out of pots for years. Am I going to break this habit and break some ground while I'm at it too? We will see!
Here is a list of herbs I am going to plant:
rosemary
parsley (my husband is making me grow this)
basil (who couldn't live without it?)
My list of veggies and fruits:
cherry tomato plant or some type of tomato plant (I like them sweet any suggestions?)
butternut squash
red peppers
green beans
The maybe list:
sweet potatoes
onions
grapes
watermelon (I think I might be getting carried away...)

Why I am Mother of the Year and it's only March...
Do I deserves this award - Vote off to the side!
#10. I let my son play with a spatula. He did this to himself (spatula burn under eye)
#9 I let my son play with that same spatula and his thumb swelled and got stuck in the hole.
#8 I let him drink bath water, more than once.
#7 I showed him that things are hot by touching them. He touches them and lets me know that they are hot.
#6 I also showed him how to plug things into the wall.
#5 I let him fall into the toliet.
#4 Dog food must be tasty.
#3 He learned that the stairs are dangerous because he tumbled down them, twice (at least those stairs are carpeted).
#2 I put him in his car seat, then the dog in the passengers seat, then I packed up the car, while driving on the highway, my little peanut leaned into the front seat. I paniced, slamed on the breaks and he flew into the passangers seat. Thank goodness for passenger seats and not for moms who forget to buckle their kids in thier car seats.
#1 I let him ride the dog like a horse. The dog does not like this and tries to bite him. I bet when that happens it's going to hurt.

What a Magnetic Chalkboard!
On Finger Prints on the Fridge Rachelle made a chalkboard wall. Hmmmm a whole wall? I don't know if I want to use a whole wall, maybe part of a wall. After looking around my house for a l-o-n-g while I thought about painting the inside of my wainscoting. Then I thought again. I decided against this, you can see here where I painstakingly painted and chalked... and sanded, sigh...my wainscoting (such a labor of love), therefore I couldn't bare to touch it.

My Laundry List
I feel like I am in a bit of a funk so I am listing everything I NEED to do @ home and everything that I WANT to do- maybe it will motivate me- maybe, maybe not?
It's worth a try, right?
1.Clean the other half of the basement steps- yes I only cleaned half and left the rest dirty. It is true. EVERY time I walk down them I think about how I should finish cleaning them...

Panty-Cakes
This is just one of my made-up words that I make-up and use for the rest of my life. I have several other made up words like, romantical and who-who-dilly. Does anyone else have their own vocabulary? I hope I don't scar my son's vocabulary, then again I think I might be safe for now, he hears the next door neighbor's dog bark and starts woofing himself.
What are panty-cakes, panty-cakes, panty-cakes? When I ask for them I ask for them

Hardware or Hard-wear?
I bought hardware for my cabinets from Restoration Hardware a month ago, because it was on sale. Really, how many times does something from Restoration Hardware go on sale? Ummm never? Unless they move it to the clearance section.
I found this nifty little gadget from Lowe's to help us put those knobs and pulls on evenly and efficiently, the first try. Key word FIRST TRY. It totally helped to make things easier.

Top of the Clover to you!
I have NEVER been one to celebrate all the Hallmark holidays. It is just not my style, but since I gave birth
to my little peanut I have decided to indulge in a few festivities. Why not, right?
I was once an art teacher and the creative juices are always a flowing- in my head (mostly they stay put because they are way too elaborate and expensive to go forth with), but as luck would have it, I can also create something for a mere $2.00 and a whole LOT of elbow grease.
